• Curly Sweet Cherry

This was very unusual wood. Most Sweet Cherry trees become hollow before they reach a size suitable for sawing. This particular log was 48″ in diameter and sound all the way through. It also produced a curly grain pattern from the outside of the log to the heart.

The client wanted a bench to place by the bed where one could sit down, remove his shoes and place them on the shelf below.
